Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health engineering design services are a foundational cornerstone and the pillar from which our subsequent services stem. The provision of appropriate internal environments, in terms of temperature, humidity, light, power, safety, security and vertical transportation, contributes significantly to the success of buildings over their occupied life. WGM Consulting Engineers takes responsibility for the design and coordination of the engineering services – the delivery of detailed, coordinated design is a hallmark of our service. This delivery is reflected in a high level of repeat business.

We encourage innovation in design, where this makes technical and business sense, and all our engineers keep abreast of rapidly evolving technology and techniques. We utilise computer simulation tools to predict the indoor environments in our buildings. IES software is used in all our offices to simulate and illustrate temperature, daylight and energy consumption projections. WGM Consulting Engineers provides level 2 BIM services from all offices.

Energy, with associated running costs, is a core consideration of our engineering designs. Close liaison between our design, energy and facilities engineers ensures that we consider whole-life management, maintenance and costs in our designs.

In addition to full design services, we undertake performance duties when appropriate, and we have successfully worked with all common forms of procurement. WGM Consulting Engineers undertakes projects of all scales and sizes, including new buildings, refurbishment, term contracts and minor works as well as utilities infrastructure, acquisition, condition and dilapidation surveys, daylight analysis and feasibility studies.
